Nog 3 weken

In 3 weeks, the World Transplant Games in Gold Coast, Australia, will start. I am almost ready with all my preparations, the last team training sessions for the relay and tennis have taken place. The only tennistournaments left are those on my two own clubs in Bussum and Amsterdam, before we leave for Gold Coast on the 18th of August. During my time in Australia, I will keep this blog updated in English.


Nog 3 weken, en dan is het zo ver, het begin van de World Transplant Games in Gold Coast, Australië. De voorbereidingen zitten er bijna op, de laatste centrale atletiek- en tennistrainingen zijn geweest. Nog twee tennistoernooien op mijn thuisclubs Chip & Charge en Het Spieghel en dan vertrekken we op 18 augustus met het team naar Australië. Bij deze wil ik iedereen die me op wat voor manier ook heeft geholpen in mijn voorbereiding bedanken, sponsors (H2O, Eurolight, Systagenix en twee goede doelen stichtingen uit Bussum), trainers (Ingrid, Heleen, Paul, Ton), clubgenoten van Chip & Charge (vooral kampioensteam 6 en sowieso de toernooicomissie en Het Spieghel en iedereen van Sport en Transplantatie. Tijdens de WTG en mijn reis door Australië zal ik deze blog vooral in het Engels bijhouden.

25 augustus: Tennis single
26 augustus: Tennis doubles
28 augustus: Atletiek, 100m individual en 4x100m relay
29 augustus: Atletiek, 200 m individual en 4x400m relay
